So, in case my first blog post on René Magritte, Le Viol, photography and exploitation was not enough in relation to ordinary practice and life, I discovered Leigh Ledare, an American photographer, who will be featuring in an exhibition on Motherhood at the Photographers’ Gallery, in London.  I will start on Wednesday by going through a few things on veiling/unveiling, shown/hidden in relation to photography, which I had intended to discuss in the last weeks session.  We might want to think what the limits of photography to display the intimate are, and what happens when they reach ‘public’ domains.  We broached the topic slightly when considering CCTV, but we are less used to it in the Art Gallery.  Anyhow, Oedipality, worth a browse…
